Description
“How Community Pharmacies Revolutionize Clinical Trials with RxE2”
The practice of pharmacy is evolving. Today’s pharmacies and pharmacists represent untapped resources in the healthcare system. Pharmacies are ideally positioned to facilitate clinical trials, as they are conveniently located across the United States and around the world. We leverage our network of independently owned community pharmacies and the expertise of our pharmacists, along with their existing patient relationships, to ensure a steady flow of diverse and highly qualified patients. This not only aids in clinical trials but also creates a new revenue stream for pharmacies.
Join RxE2 for a webinar to discover how your pharmacy can be part of a movement involving over 1,200 pharmacies that are already transforming clinical research!
Participating in clinical trials offers pharmacies a clear return on investment (ROI):
- **New Revenue Streams:** Increase income through services such as patient referrals, trial awareness, and dispensing investigational drugs.
- **Stronger Patient Relationships:** Build deeper trust and engagement while providing patients access to innovative treatments.
- **Community Health Impact:** Improve healthcare access and outcomes, particularly in underserved communities where trial recruitment has historically been challenging.
Speaker:
Teresa Gerbig, PharmD, received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from North Dakota State University in 2002. She has over two decades of experience in community pharmacy and currently serves as the Pharmacy Network Manager for RxE2, where she focuses on building trust in science, amplifying the pharmacist’s voice, and increasing the involvement of community pharmacies.
As a licensed pharmacist, Dr. Gerbig is driven by a desire to improve patient health outcomes and advance the pharmacy profession. Her interest in the field was sparked during her childhood when her father suffered a heart attack. Inspired by a local pharmacist who played a crucial role in her father's care, she became fascinated by the positive impact pharmacists can have on people's lives.
Teresa is passionate about pharmacy and patient empowerment. She believes in making a difference, bringing joy, and giving meaning back to patients' lives. Committed to advancing scientific knowledge, she views health as a fragile gift and emphasizes the importance of trusting in scientific advancements to improve patient care. She supports her patients through education and guidance, reminding them, "If you want to be here tomorrow, you have to plan for it today."
